As of Jan 31, 2009, all our web hosting and reseller web hosting services have been upgraded from MySQL 4.1 to the newer MySQL 5.0 for your database-driven web sites, as per the maintenance notice delivered via e-mail and as announced on our forums. MySQL v5 includes new backend features enabling you to utilize the latest in dynamic web site backend support.

2007/11/11 New Feature: Dual PHP Engines | We offer the latest of both PHP 5 and PHP 4 to power your scripts.
All our web hosting and reseller web hosting services now include support for dual PHP scripting languages, greatly enhancing backwards compatibility for web sites developed with the most popular versions of PHP. Specifically, we offer PHP 5 as the primary version that is enabled by default, but now also offer PHP 4 as an alternative solution for backward compatibility with most older scripts. We will continue to offer our (drop-in) PHP configuration templates for both versions of PHP so you can create your own custom php.ini files; as always you may find the latest PHP configuration (php.ini) templates within our FAQ (Q&A).

2007/07/17 New Feature: SourceGuardian (ixed) | We support PHP scripts encoded with SourceGuardian (ixed).
All our web hosting and reseller web hosting services now include encoded file support for PHP scripts encoded with SourceGuardian (ixed) in addition to our existing support for ionCube Loaders and Zend Optimizer. To correspond with the new support for SourceGuardian (ixed), our (drop-in) PHP configuration templates for creating your own custom php.ini files have also been updated to reflect the newly-added feature; as always you may find the updated PHP configuration (php.ini) templates within our FAQ (Q&A).

2007/04/23 New Feature: PHP 5 | We have replaced PHP 4.4 with PHP 5.2 on all web hosting and reseller web hosting.
All our web hosting and reseller web hosting services have been upgraded to PHP 5, specifically the version branch 5.2, as per the maintenance notice delivered via e-mail and as announced on our forums. With this upgrade we have made available (drop-in) PHP configuration templates for creating your own custom php.ini files. Of the templates, we have optimized one for security and performance, and optimized another for compatibility to better support older and or poorly coded PHP scripts; however, it is important to note that you should always ensure your scripts are up-to-date and secure from any known and potential vulnerabilities. Of the two optimizations, we also included a duplicate set, one with encoded file support enabled by default, and one with encoded file support disabled by default (for low or little to no maintenance); in these we are supporting both the latest ionCube loaders (for ionCube-encoded PHP scripts) and the latest Zend Optimizer (for Zend-encoded or Zend-optimized PHP scripts).

2007/02/21 New Feature: SFTP Access | Enables High Security, Encrypted, SSH2-based File Management via SFTP
All our web hosting and reseller web hosting services now include a new method for securely managing all of your files, Secure File Transfer Protocol a.k.a. SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) access using the underlying Secure Shell (SSH) protocol version 2 (i.e., SSH2) enabling you to take advantage of high security, encrypted, SSH2-based file transfers. Previously this was only supported for accounts authorized for and setup with Jailed SSH access, but now anyone with primary FTP access can also use SFTP as a very secure method of file management.
